Saunaharju holiday apartments are well-equipped and comfortable semi-detached apartments 40 metres from Lake Käränkälampi shore in the Loma-Koli area. The terrace and the living room have a view of the enchantingly beautiful Lake Käränkälampi and the impressive landscape of Käränkävaara hill rising in its background. The wooden semi-detached apartment was completed in 2005. Downstairs there is an open kitchen (equipped with a dishwasher), a living room with an atmospheric Vuolukivi fireplace and two rooms (the second bedroom without a window) as well as a sauna. Upstairs, there are more beds in the open loft. In some apartments, there is another TV on the loft (f.ex. to use your own gaming consoles).

The location is excellent for numerous outdoor activities. From the terrace, in the snow-free season, you can take the stairs and the path to the outdoor path by Käränkälampi. In the summer, you can swim, SUP board, go boating and fishing in the ashtonishingly clear waters of Lake Käränkälampi. Käränkälampi has a steadily deepening fine sandy bottom and you can swim from a shared pier. A 5 km hiking trail over Käränkävaara hill is found nearby and is a favorite of many visitors. In winter, you can go skiing, ice skating or snowmobiling on Lake Käränkälampi.

The outdoor excercise tracks are only 200 m away. In the summer, the trail is suitable for walkers, runners, in the winter for cross-country skiing and all-year-round biking. Of these routes, the Käränkälampi circuit (approx. 6.5 km) is the closest, and the longest (27 km) takes you all the way to Koli Freetime in Ahmovaara.  Location in Loma-Koli area also enables other outdoor activities such hiking, canoeying, kayaking, orienteering, ice-fishing and disc-hockey etc.

The wonderful and impressively sized Lake Pielinen with its beach and water activities is nearby. Its shore is within a less than 10-minute-walk from Saunaharju. and by car it's only a couple of minutes away. The famous scenic Ukko-Koli hill top and the down hill skiing center (which serves as a a disc hockey route in the summertime) as well as the landscape spa are found 9 kilometres away and the services of Koli village 7 kilometres away (a 10-minute-drive) from the Loma-Koli area.
